My panic is under control for the most part, with occasional 'blips' I experience thruout the day. I am able to reel these in pretty well.
My immediate concern is that when I wake up, I go from a feeling of restfulness immediately to a jittery state with a touch of dread (not really a complete feeling of "the dreads"). The jitters stay with me most of the morning, replaced by a feeling of drowsiness after 1PM.
I am on a low dose of Tenormin 2X day to control erratic heart rhythm and to regulate blood pressure. I am also on Lexapro 20mg which is taken before bed. I will be seeing a physician shortly on this matter, but would like to know if others have experienced this and what else I should be observant of.

Vince, I think you are experiencing anticipatory anxiety....its obvious that the meds have helped your panic and sleep but once awake, you are still not quite confidant that you are panic free and thus the anxiety....with time, and more exposure, etc....your brain will regulate and you will get rid of this last component of the illness. Have you found the lexapro helpful? any side effects?vstay well
