Some friends invited us to a dinner theater last night.  I'm always a little aprehensive when going to a new place.  I did the ususal:  Where are the bathrooms, will someone go with me if I need to leave, etc.  Things were going well until they made an anouncement before the play started. "Please don't get up to leave for any reason.  All the actors use the entrances and exits so, unless it's an ememrgency, stay in your seats so you don't get in the actor's way."  Could they have said anything worse to someone with PD?  I felt like I wanted to escape while I had the chance, before the play started, but I didn't.  I stayed and watched the whole thing.  A few deep breaths and some reasurance from my husband was all it took.  I still can't believe I did it.

Great job Katie!!! I'm glad you made it through the play. After an announcement like that you definately had to be strong not to just get up and walk out right then. I hope to hear many more success stories from you in the future! Good luck and keep hanging in there!

The musical was "Annie Get Your Gun".  All I can say is, if I  never hear "There's No Business Like Show Business" again, it will be too soon.  Other than that, it was great!
