Hi guys, I came to this site desperate after having a bout of panic attacks and sysmptoms almost daily since April. Last week my Psychiatrist put me on klonopin ( was taking xanax) plus I had a 2 hour session with a hypnotist and I have been feeling pretty good. Keeping my fingers crossed. Poe

Hi Poe, glad to hear you're feeling better. I have been considering hypnotherapy..is it something you'd suggest? Can you tell me more about it?
Thanks, Chanda

I'd also be really interested in how hypnotherapy is working for you. I've been anxious to try it myself. Great news about your waning symptoms. We're all pulling for you. The panic free days are the best! Good luck and keep us posted.

Hi, I had my second session yesterday and so far it has worked like a charm, I am not even needed the klonoping I took 1/2 pill this morning because I felt a little anxious. But I have been able to do so much walk around go shopping take long walks, excersice ( I am really into it but th panic attacks paralized me) and at my worse I can't so a thing. it is expensive but I am going to sign up for the 16 sessions he guarantees will get rid of the attacks for good. it is a lifetime guarantee if i feel it comming back any additional sessions are free. although I am still keeping my fingers crossed that this is a permanent solution. I would recommended, also the sessions are relaxing and enjoyable. Poe.

Hi, Poe. Glad to hear it seems to be working. Did you have trouble relaxing in your session? I would feel really self-conscious about it. I also have trouble concentrating when I'm nervous (which is often, of course). Just wondering how all that works.

Poe and Katie, I tried hypnotherapy too and have found it to be excellent. I have been panic free for a good month now. Katie give it a whirl... don't be afraid. Lisa

Thanks, Lisa. I'm just so unsure of myself. I can't imagine I'd be able to relax enough to actually go through hypnosis. I really do want to try it, though. I just moved to a new city, so I'm getting ready to start with a new therapist anyway. I'll see what I can find out. Maybe it will be exactly what I'm looking for.

i tried hyprnotherapy once a couple of years ago and it did nothing at all. i never went that far under. i really tried to allow it to work but my mind just didn't allow it to. but i'm glad you feel it worked for you!
