Hi everybody, I hope you are all doing well.
I just wanted to tell about my day. I promised my kids I'd take them to a small water park this week. (If I promise the kids they'll never let me out of it, therefore no avoiding..haha) Anyway, I was kind of nervous just thinking about it but we went anyway. I put a Xanax in my bag (just in case -- as always)& I was sure I'd have to use it as soon as I walked through the gates.
But I didn't!! I stayed all day, played, had fun, & barely even thought of panic. A couple of times the thought popped up "Oh my God, I'm in here..what if..."
but I was able to put those thoughts away & continue to have fun.
I didn't have to take a Xanax or find an excuse to leave early. I actually did HAVE FUN & I've promised we'd go back in a week or so.

Thanks for reading this!
Chanda

Way to go!!! I am so happy for you. I know how good it feels after you conquer your fears and enjoy an outing like that. My doctor will not give me anything to help me get through the panic attacks. All i get is zoloft. I think i need something like zanax to take just when i need it. I need to find another doctor. Anyway, i just wanted to let you know that i'm proud od you!!! Wink

Thanks Redface & Sammi

Sammi: If you think that you need something to help you through attacks then you should get it.(Whether from that Dr. or another one) I feel blessed that we live in a time where we have meds to help us with this & noone should withhold them from you.
I can't imagine facing something without Xanax. Not that I'm addicted to them (I've only used them a few times) but it just helps me to know I have them "just in case"

Just my opinion & thanks again
Chanda
