Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any experience taking a cortisol supportive supplement like Cortislim along with your anti-anxiety meds.  I am on around 100mg of Effexor and take .5mg of Xanax at night (more when having a panic attack).  I was wondering if anyone knows if it is safe to take Cortislim with these meds.  I gained a bunch of weight when I was on Zoloft and I'm trying to get it off.

Hi Butterfly,
I gained alot of weight on Zoloft as well. I am scared to take any diet meds because of the thought of them speeding my heart up and worsening my anxiety.
I'm not saying its not safe because I dont really know, but if they do have the "speedy" effect it may make your panic worse. Let me know if you do take the cortislim, and how it works for you. Since I was so scared to take any diet pills, I went on a low carb diet and lost over 40 pounds. It was really easy to lose the weight that way, and it came off fast too. You may want to try that if you dont use the Cortislim. I think losing the weight boosted my self esteem and made me feel alot better both mentally and physically. Weight gain is one of the things I hate most about Zoloft but I 'd hate to think about what my life would be like if I stopped taking it.  Good Luck!
