This Internet site was developed to provide people with the information and tools they need to gain more control over their panic and agoraphobia symptoms and their lives. The Panic Center was developed on current research and theory in the scientific literature on the treatment of panic disorder and agoraphobia, including information from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in the United States.
The purpose of this site is to increase treatment seeking and treatment success by:
- educating users on the nature and treatment of panic disorder and agoraphobia
- engaging users in treatment for their panic and/or agoraphobia by providing them with personalized results from an anxiety screening test that they can share with their family physician (The Anxiety Test)
- encouraging users to track their panic and agoraphobia symptoms with an interactive diary (The Panic Diary)
- engaging users in a free 12 session Online CBT program (The Panic Program)
- providing an expert moderated support community (The Panic Center Support Group)
- Statistical data collected throughout the site is used for research purposes only. Individual statistics are not collected or distributed. Please review our privacy policy and this important legal information
